Sculpting cultural significance

The mixed media relief piece on the left was a commission piece, and our client sent us this message:

I have known Shauna since 2013. I was fortunate to meet Shauna when I was serving as Treasurer of the Metis Settlements General Council.  At the time, Shauna was doing various projects for the Metis Settlements General Council.  I immediately loved her work, design expertise, attention to detail and her ability to capture the significant aspects of our Metis culture.

Over the years, I have relied on Shauna to use her unique abilities and creativity to produce the most meaningful and beautiful works of art I have ever seen.  Shauna has created several pieces of artwork which were then gifted to the Metis Settlements.  The artwork is proudly displayed in the Administrative offices of each of the eight Metis Settlements.  Some pieces are also on display at the Metis Settlements General Council office.

Shauna’s creativity is limitless. Even after a very short discussion outlining the type of artwork I was looking for, Shauna was able to produce my vision with her own blend of creativity which in my view, was a masterpiece each and every time. Shauna understood the importance of various cultural symbols and masterfully interwove them within each design.

Last summer, while I was working for my home community of Peavine Metis Settlement, I approached Shauna to create a very unique and special gift for a dignitary who would be visiting the community to celebrate the community birthday with the members of the Settlement.  The timeframe in which Shauna had was very short to complete the project but she did it!! Shauna can always be counted on to complete projects in a very timely manner.

I would definitely recommend the utilization of Shauna’s services for any projects requiring creativity, beauty or any project requiring originality.

Sample Sculptures

We aim to capture the individual personality and unique traits of each pet in every creation.

We love incorporating a pet's favourite toy, bandana, or collar, and we've even included ashes in the base of the sculptures, removing the necessity for an urn. Each sculpture is as distinctive as the pet it represents.

The clay we choose depends on whether the sculpture will be placed indoors or outside in the garden. The sculpting process and time required vary between materials and we work from photographs.
